One of the best cooking apples, Granny Smith has crisp, sweet-tart and juicy fruit with a good balance of acids and sugars. Medium-sized apples have pale to medium green skin with distinctive whitish dots. Simply irresistible! This classic favorite features a Tip-bearing tree yields a familiar green fruit perfect for fresh-eating, baking, and making cider. Fruit keeps up to six months in proper storage. Heat-tolerant. Ripens in late October. Pollinator required: Choose another apple variety, like Red Delicious, Red Rome Beauty, or Golden Delicious.
