The classic McIntosh apple. A popular variety known for tart flavor and tender white flesh. Good for eating raw and cooking, potential for making vinegar and hard cider. This crisp, juicy Apple grows best in well-drained soil with full sun exposure. A moderate amount of moisture is required to ensure the McIntosh tree produces a full crop of delicious, ripe apples. You'll want to plant your McIntosh where it will get plenty of sunlight, as full sun exposure is needed to grow. Apples are probably the most common fruit grown in our area, for good reason: Beautiful flowers that feed beneficial insects early in the season, growing apple trees is a great idea
